Gaelscoil na Camóige was founded in 1993. There were many parents who could not find a place for their children in the gaelscoileanna (All-Irish Schools) in the locality. So with help from Muintir Chrónáin (landlord of the site of the school) they founded Gaelscoil na Camóige.
