Religious Instruction

Religious instruction is a central part of every child’s education at the school. We follow the curriculum given by the Catholic church in a very positive way making the Catholic faith accessible to the children. All the ceremonies associated with the primary school, First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation are celebrated. The children wear a soutane for the First Holy Communion. We do this to help the children appreciate the holy nature of the ceremony, to remind us that we are all equal in the eyes of God and to lessen the financial burden on families. Sixth class wear their school uniforms to the Confirmation. The First Holy Communion is celebrated on a Saturday and the Confirmation is celebrated during the week.
