‘Colour!’ at The Ark

We went to the Ark, a Cultural Centre for Children, on the 9th June 2015.  We took part in an imaginative workshop named ‘Rhapsodies in Blue’. We listened to music and painted the sounds we heard. We learned about paint and that artists used natural materials such as eggs, oil and honey to mix the paint. We saw stained glass art by John Kavanagh

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

The Teddy Bear’s Picnic We went to playground beside the swimming pool on Friday 12/6/15. Everyone brought a teddy to school and we had a teddy bear’s picnic. We had a great time playing with the sand, swinging on the swings, climbing on the climbing frames and coming down the slides. We all ate a healthy lunch and got an ice-cream for dessert! Each

Vet in Junior Infants

We set up a vet’s corner in the classroom as part of our ‘Aistear’ programme. We learned how to take care of various pets. We cleaned, fed, groomed and cut their nails too! We had to take our pets to the vet when they were sick. We filled in an information form prior to our visit. Some pets got an injection and medication for
